BuyKarlo Trading Guidelines

Read safety parameters, transaction policies, and terms of service that protect Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) students during campus trades.

BUYKARLO GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL POLICY

Effective Date: 1 June 2026

1. PURPOSE

BuyKarlo is committed to maintaining a safe, transparent, and trustworthy platform for its users.

This Grievance Redressal Policy establishes the process through which users may submit complaints, grievances, concerns, reports, or requests relating to their use of the Platform.

The purpose of this Policy is to ensure that complaints are reviewed in a fair, reasonable, and timely manner.

2. SCOPE

Users may submit grievances relating to:

  • Fraudulent listings;
  • Suspected scams;
  • Prohibited products;
  • Harassment or abusive conduct;
  • Impersonation;
  • Intellectual property concerns;
  • Community Guidelines violations;
  • Account access issues;
  • Privacy-related concerns;
  • Content removal requests;
  • Platform policy violations; and
  • Other issues reasonably related to use of the Platform.

BuyKarlo reserves the right to determine whether a complaint falls within the scope of this Policy.

3. LIMITATIONS OF BUYKARLO’S ROLE

Users acknowledge that BuyKarlo operates as a technology platform facilitating user interactions.

Accordingly, BuyKarlo generally does not:

  • Act as an arbitrator between users;
  • Determine contractual rights between users;
  • Resolve ownership disputes;
  • Recover funds;
  • Guarantee transaction outcomes;
  • Enforce private agreements between users.

Where appropriate, BuyKarlo may review information submitted by users and take platform-level enforcement actions.

Any enforcement action taken by BuyKarlo shall not be interpreted as a legal determination regarding the merits of a dispute.

4. SUBMISSION OF GRIEVANCES

Users may submit complaints by contacting:

When submitting a grievance, users should provide:

  • Full name;
  • Registered email address or mobile number;
  • Description of the issue;
  • Relevant screenshots or evidence;
  • Links to listings or profiles where applicable;
  • Any other information reasonably necessary to investigate the complaint.

Incomplete submissions may delay review.

5. REVIEW PROCESS

Upon receipt of a grievance, BuyKarlo may:

  • Acknowledge receipt;
  • Request additional information;
  • Review available evidence;
  • Review platform activity;
  • Contact involved users where appropriate;
  • Assess compliance with Platform policies.

BuyKarlo may decline to investigate complaints that:

  • Lack sufficient information;
  • Are clearly abusive or frivolous;
  • Relate solely to private disputes beyond Platform control.

6. POSSIBLE ACTIONS

Following review, BuyKarlo may, where appropriate:

  • Issue warnings;
  • Remove listings;
  • Restrict listing visibility;
  • Temporarily suspend accounts;
  • Permanently terminate accounts;
  • Request additional verification;
  • Decline to take action.

The nature of any action taken shall be determined solely by BuyKarlo.

7. FRAUD REPORTS

Where users report suspected fraud, BuyKarlo may:

  • Review evidence submitted;
  • Review relevant account activity;
  • Request clarification from involved users;
  • Restrict or suspend accounts pending review;
  • Remove listings that appear deceptive or unsafe.

BuyKarlo does not guarantee recovery of money, products, or property lost in connection with user transactions.

8. REPORTS OF STOLEN OR UNLAWFUL GOODS

Where a listing is reported as potentially stolen, counterfeit, unlawful, or prohibited, BuyKarlo may:

  • Temporarily restrict visibility of the listing;
  • Request supporting information from the seller;
  • Remove the listing;
  • Suspend the account where appropriate.

BuyKarlo may cooperate with lawful requests from competent authorities where required by law.

9. PRIVACY AND CONFIDENTIALITY

Information submitted as part of a grievance may be reviewed by authorized personnel for the purposes of:

  • Investigating complaints;
  • Enforcing Platform policies;
  • Maintaining platform safety;
  • Complying with legal obligations.

BuyKarlo may share information where required by law or reasonably necessary to investigate misconduct.

10. FALSE OR ABUSIVE REPORTS

Users must submit complaints in good faith.

BuyKarlo may take action against users who:

  • Knowingly submit false reports;
  • Abuse reporting tools;
  • Harass other users through repeated complaints;
  • Attempt to manipulate moderation outcomes.

11. RESPONSE TIMEFRAMES

BuyKarlo will endeavor to review grievances within a reasonable period.

Response times may vary depending upon:

  • The complexity of the issue;
  • The availability of evidence;
  • The volume of complaints received;
  • Operational requirements.

Submission of a grievance does not guarantee a particular outcome.

12. APPEALS

Users may submit additional information if they believe a decision was based on incomplete or inaccurate information.

BuyKarlo may review such requests at its sole discretion.

The decision of BuyKarlo regarding platform enforcement actions shall be final for the purposes of Platform administration.

13. POLICY CHANGES

BuyKarlo reserves the right to amend this Policy at any time to reflect legal, operational, technological, or business developments.

Updated versions shall become effective upon publication on the Platform.
