BUYKARLO SAFETY GUIDELINES FOR OFFLINE TRANSACTIONS

BuyKarlo is a platform that enables users to discover products and connect with one another. Transactions, inspections, exchanges, deliveries, and payments are generally conducted directly between users.

These Safety Guidelines are intended to promote responsible conduct and help users reduce risks associated with buying, selling, and meeting other individuals.

While BuyKarlo may provide tools that facilitate communication, BuyKarlo does not supervise, monitor, or control offline interactions between users.

Users remain solely responsible for their decisions and actions.

2. GENERAL SAFETY PRINCIPLES

Before entering into any transaction, users should:

• Exercise caution and common sense;
• Independently verify information provided by other users;
• Carefully inspect products;
• Verify the identity of the other party where appropriate;
• Avoid rushing into transactions;
• Trust their instincts if something appears suspicious.

If a transaction appears unsafe, users should discontinue communication immediately.

3. MEET IN SAFE PUBLIC LOCATIONS

Whenever possible, users should meet:

• In public places;
• During daylight hours;
• In locations with regular public activity;
• In areas with security personnel or surveillance cameras.

Examples include:

• University campuses;
• College common areas;
• Shopping centres;
• Cafes;
• Public libraries;
• Police-designated safe exchange zones where available.

Users should avoid:

• Private residences of unknown individuals;
• Remote areas;
• Locations that create personal safety concerns.

4. VERIFY THE PRODUCT BEFORE PAYMENT

• Requests involving gift cards;
• Requests involving cryptocurrency transfers;
• Unusual payment arrangements.

7. PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

• Passwords;
• One-time passwords (OTPs);
• Banking credentials;
• UPI PINs;
• Credit card information;
• Government identification numbers unless legally necessary.

BuyKarlo will never request passwords, OTPs, or banking credentials through user communications.

For higher-value transactions or meetings with unfamiliar individuals, users should consider:

Personal safety should always take priority over completing a transaction.

• Professional equipment;

may require additional precautions.

Users should consider:

• Verifying device identifiers;

10. ONLINE SAFETY

Users should remain vigilant against:

• Fake payment confirmations;
• Fraudulent screenshots;
• Requests for sensitive credentials.

Users should independently verify payment status through official banking channels rather than relying solely on screenshots or messages.

11. REPORT SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY

• Counterfeit products;
• Stolen property;
• Violations of Platform policies.

Timely reporting helps protect the broader BuyKarlo community.

12. EMERGENCIES AND CRIMINAL MATTERS

Where users believe criminal activity has occurred or immediate danger exists, they should contact:

• Local law enforcement authorities;
• Emergency services;
• Appropriate government authorities.

BuyKarlo is not an emergency response service and cannot provide immediate intervention in dangerous situations.

BuyKarlo provides technology services that enable users to discover products and communicate with one another.

BuyKarlo:

• Does not supervise meetings;
• Does not verify all listings;
• Does not guarantee user conduct;
• Does not guarantee product authenticity;
• Does not guarantee transaction outcomes;
• Does not guarantee payment or delivery.

Users assume responsibility for evaluating and managing risks associated with their interactions.

14. CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

BuyKarlo may revise these Safety Guidelines periodically to address emerging risks, improve user protection, and reflect platform developments.
